This morning, the transmission fell out of first gear hard at fairly high rpm,
probably because it was not fully engaged. (I just installed a rubber-bulb
bicycle horn on the shifter, a gift from one of my daughters.) Now I have a
rattle when the clutch pedal is just slightly depressed, not enough to either
engage or disengage the plate. Have I knocked off one of the release bearing
retaining clips? Is it even possible to do that?
