different metals, they can be identified and

Then what? You have had the oil analysed and it
identifies which part of the engine the metal
particals have come from. Assuming the engine is,
as Daniel's, in a bedding in phase and wear is
both anticipated and beneficial what do you do
then with the information from the lab? Come to
that, even on a run-in engine what beneficial use
can the normal owner make of that sort of
information?
