As I have said, it is the difference in drivers. It only takes a few
arrogant idiots to screw things up horrendously (think 16-30 year olds
driving muscle or ego cars). I honestly believe that the English driver,
perhaps because it is a more deferential society, are more courteous than
we Yanks. Also, their driving laws are more rigorous , and it is very easy
to lose your license compared to the laxity of American laws and courts.
