Herby, Yes, there are two standards for the OD of 1275 pilot bushes (same ID). Bill Perry supplies both bushes with his 5-speed kit because there is no way to know which you have until you pull the tranny. 5/8" is the more common, but 3/4" is what my car has. I think the extra room was to allow for a needle-bearing pilot, but I have not seen one of those.
