  Yes, I have found that shops would not finish a car that I had 
started, their reasoning was that I may have used inferior materials 
or non-compatible products and they would be stuck having to repair 
it at their costs.  Even though I gave them the products I used and 
even offered to supply the paint AND guarantee to not hassle them if 
things did not hold up after a few I left the shop.

    As far as booths go, since I wrote the original e-mail I have 
been told no one does that in my town anymore.  So its back to the 
garage and taking the wife out to a nice hotel for the night after 
painting is done, darn :)
