While I wouldn't say there was a sacrilege commited, maybe what many are
getting at is to contact the vendor in question, see what is up.  Then if
things aren't on the up and up let people know.  I'v followed from the
outside and it seemed that never happend. This isn't ment as a flame to
you at all.  Just seemed to be a "hey this is what I got what do you
think".  Where maybe I would have called him, asked what the issue was
etc...then gone to the list to say hey this is what my experiance has
been.

I have tried polishing the bells on a set of SU's had two totally
different outcomes using the very same cleaning/polishing method, but
mostly looked this like the ones you showed, but I only hand rubbed mine
(bells that is :).  As for vise marks or such, those can be hiden under
dirt/grime, and then show when they are cleaned...who knows what the PO
did to them, then again maybe it happened when you sent them in.

Don't take this as me telling you what to do but more of this is what I'd
do.  Let us know how they work though, as in the end that is what counts
is a good running car that you can enjoy.
