See Ron Soave's post on this. I agree with Ron, 'cause I've had it happen to me...big time....as in improperly installed rings in a new engine. Very expensive mistake. But I raised holy hell (squeaky wheel gets the oil) and got problem fixed with min. $$$ out of personal pocket. And Bill Thompson can back me up on this... cause we both had similiar symptoms in motors built by the same company. I got mine fixed and I led the charge in getting his fixed at the same time. If you accept poor workmanship, than take responsibility for YOUR decision in this respect. Otherwise...pick up the phone and make an issue out of it by INSISTING on talking to THE BOSS. And most especially the second time around....no excuse for this and don't be bashful about letting all concerned know you belong to a car list and have obligations to your fellow listers to "let them know". The boss can't be everywhere all the time. Your phone call and complaint may very well be doing him a service. And don't be bashful about your out of pocket shipping charges, either. But do talk to the BOSS. Give the BOSS a chance to right the wrong. If that fails..... publicly trash him so as to do all concerned a favor. Cap'n. Bob '60 :{) |
