Try imaginary shifting in the air with both hands and go through the pattern.
You should be able to do it equally well with either hand. Within 5 minutes on
my first drive I got cut off by a taxi and my reflexes made me slap the
driver's door with the back of my hand, trying to reach the shifter that should
be on the right! :) After 20 minutes, it's second nature. However, when I was
in the Caymans driving not only RHD, but on the left side of the road, I was
challenged. It's all fine until you make a turn.
My young daughter loves the looks that she gets while sitting in the passenger
seat. Sometimes she used to lift her arms up enough to be seen, as if she was
steering.
