It seems that the 948 cars had the mechanical tachs and the 1098 cars were electric based on the numerous cars that I have owned. Kent 1960 Bugeye 1975 Midget - some day auto-x-er ...and of course the Mk2A had the electric tach. But the parts book shows it had a mechanical tach reduction gear, and a brass nut at that. Personally, I think Donald Healey was jerking us around. Buster Evans |
