Subject: | ok, so is a Perkins diesel an LBC? |

I'm reassembling a 3 cyl. Perkins diesel with rope seals as the rear main seals. Soaked them in oil for several hours, then installed them in the carriers, then the carriers to the block, (which was a HUGE pia), then noticed in a completely separate section of "the book" that they should be coated with "graphited grease" just before installation. Anyone know if this is necessary? Geoff Branch No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Version: 7.0.298 / Virus Database: 265.6.5 - Release Date: 12/26/2004 |
