What's the deal with battery water? My two year old battery wasn't holding
a charge at all. When I opened up the battery, there was very little water
in it. Should I refill it? With what type of water (de-ionized, distilled,
etc...)

The deal is, water evaporates. Fill it with distilled water if you have
some, but clean tap water is really OK to use. Not too high, just to the split
ring. The battery should be OK as long as the acid wasn't too concentrated and
ate anything.
