Josh... On the normal street "A" Series (stock clearances) the exhaust valves are run without a seal (flow is "outbound") and oil against the metal is used for cooling of the valve (stem, etc.). I have used Teflon seals on the intake valves for many moons. Viton has been used in fuel bowl shutoff valves. Cap'n.
