Windshield

How difficult is it to install a windshield on an older (62) Spridget? I 
ordered glass and a seal from VB (much cheaper than anyone local), and then 
called a local installer - he said some small windshields can be very difficult 
- is this true? Could an ordinary shade tree mechanic install it?
