The front tilt bonnet most definitely gives
more room to work "under there"..had one
on my PO'd '67 with BE bonnet on it.
However, you do want to provide for the
ability of the complete bonnet to not only
tilt up as vertically as possible (without
the grille contacting the ground) you also
want to provide "elongated" hinges so the
bonnet can be moved forward to some
extent as well, once it attains the vertical
so that you've some room to work on the
forward part of the engine compartment
as well if at all possible, so you don't
have to remove the bonnet for this reason
unless absolutely necessary. (BTDT!)
