Hi Guy,
Don't knock the Renault 4. My wife had one as her first company car and we
christened it 'Benjy' because the bodywork was a tad flimsy and it bent under
the press of a thumb. A wonderful motor that once carried 11 of us back from
the pub in North Wales and seconded as a 'sleeping car' on many overnight
canoeing trips. The back seats (that's those near the front of the trunk!)
dropped down and you could get a sleeping bag (no comments about the wife
please Bob) out at full stretch.
The 848cc engine (might be wrong on that, it could have been a 950cc) wasn't
the worlds fastest but, you still got there.
