John,
Just did it. Removed the motor mounts and jacked the engine from below just
about an inch or so. Blocked it up. Also removed the radiator AND the crossover
pipe.
Then fitted a socket, wedging the breaker bar against the left-side
inner fender well. Removed the coil wire and flicked the starter. After
several (read MANY) attempts the bolt broke free.
