The deterioration takes place at a much slower rate than the oxidation of the
British bumper steel. It has been determined by the British War Department
that the steel bumpers of British car exports were sabotaged by the Nazi
party during the 2nd world war, and continued through 1975. Seems a German
named Sacul designed an electrical system that fairly insured the steel
bumpers would oxidize electrochemically and fall off in a short period of
time. He hid his German heritage by reversing his name. The RB car was
designed by the British Industrial Council to counter Herr Sacul's sabotage.
