I remember my best friend(and push starter) and I putting in $.25 of regular
in the Borgward and driving to the beach for the day. We dared each other
to ask the guy to do the windows before we gave him the quarter.
I could never go anywhere without him, as he could reach the vice grips
attached to the broken off stub of the column shift cable. I couldn't reach
it while driving, and so could only use 1st and 2nd without an assistant.
