I don't have a trailer to haul my Midget--I do drive it everyday and have
driven it on longer trips, one about 300 miles one way. But I would like to
have the capacity to haul the Midget to various locations and drive it from
there.
In my driveway is a Jayco camper, pretty rotton as far as the body goes. The
canvas in the top gave way long ago. I have been planning to strip the
camper shell off, sell the aluminum to the scrap metal company, and make a
flat trailer out of it. I was wondering if it would make a good Midget
hauler? The tongue has 3500 lb. printed on it. It has one axle and the
smaller, trailer wheels. Would I have to change axles and wheels? Maybe put
tandem axles under it with brakes?
Any opinions or ideas? Thanks.
