And as I understand it, synthetic oil does not break down from
contamination as easily or as soon as regular oil.  The matched oil
filter from the synthetic manufacturer will make synthetic oil last many
times longer than regular oil, so your regular oil changes will become
filter changes between synthetic oil changes.  I am going to switch to
synthetic after my Bugeye 948 is broken in. My transmission already has
Redline MT-90 in it, a synthetic formula for manual transmissions.  If
you want more info on synthetics you can go the the Redline web site at
http://www.redlineoil.com and check out for yourself.  I have e-mailed
them about breaking in new engines and am waiting for their response.
Will post the answer when it arrives.
