Definitely go with a Disco!!! You don't want to go with the standard crap
of SUV's that everybody else has. As long as you're prepared to do some
work yourself, they really aren't that bad. But it's a big difference
going from an LBC to a BBC when you don't have some big tools.
I also have a good source for Land Rover parts - MUCH less than the dealer
costs.
And when you get into some off-roading, the Land Rover people are really
cool, just like the LBC people! There is also a good email list for
Rangie, Disco, and Defender.
