Well the engine did not blow up. Just a blown head gasket due to a bum thermostat. I replaced the flasher and now my signal indicator goes out. I messed with the Weber but could find no reason for the popping and stalling at an idle. I did find a cracked dizzy rotor. Hopefully that was the culprit.
