"The Bishop", a Stage V tuned Sprite by the Donald Healey Motor Co....see
http:///www.thicko.com/bishop/htm
has a dual exhaust that was one of the Special Tuning options. 1+4 go to one
branch of the header, and 2+3 to the other.... then dual pipes out the back,
with little mufflers on each pipe. Geoff Healey told me there wasn't a great
horsepower gain with these (an LCB header is much better), but they sold a
ton of them because of the way it sounded. It's a real interesting exhaust
note with the mufflers removed in race trim.
