Hal,
Your right the Champion N5C is not the same EXACT plug as the old N5. I
called the Champion Spark Plug company today and talked to John in the
technical dept. He
told me that the plugs were funcionally identical except for an improvement.
When they make the center wire, they extrude a copper core in it to help
dissapate heat
and thus preventing pre-ignition. This is a good thing I think. As for
originality, true, the original plugs were Champion N5, but they also said
"Made in England"
on them. If you can provide some original N5s with that printed on them, I'll
buy a dozen.
