In the few minutes of spare time that I have now and then
I am trying to remove the exhaust manifold from my 77 Midget.
The problem is the 2 nuts in the center, below the intake and
above the exhaust. What sadist designed this setup? Anyway
I have tried sockets, universal attachments, stubby open end
wrenches, and I have yet to be able to get a good grip (or any
grip) on these two nut. My next step is I am going to get a
cheap 3/8" extension and grind the end down to be a bit narrower.
I hope this will allow me to turn the socket while I have the
extension/ratch on an angle. If anyone has a better idea I am
all ears. Otherwise I will just keep trying. After a while I
will have success. I hope. Thanks for listening to the rant, or
so it seems.
