Well, at least here in Australia, there are more performance tires available
in 175/60 13 than 185/60 or 185/70 13. Falken (Ohtsu) make the Falken GRB
and
RS410 in 175/6013 and these are arguably the best non-'R' rated tires that
will
fit the sprite. In the 'R' category, Dunlop Formula R (I run these),
Bridgestone
Potenza 520, Hoosier Street TD (I run these too) are all available. For a
low
annual mileage car, the 'R' rated tires are a viable choice and really
transform the
car! I have the Dunlops on redcar
(http://home.vicnet.net.au/~mikeg/cars/redcar.htm)
and it is essentially a road car and gets used for touring as well as
rallies.

I and the numerous square-arch spridgets don't have serious rubbing problems
with the 175/60s after the usual invisible tricks.

Mike
