Hi Bryan Ignition steering locks were factory fitted with two bolts that were designed for the heads to shear off when they were tightened up - so they cannot be undone with a spanner. Sometimes the heads are still there which makes removal easy. Otherwise the quickest way is to remove the complete steering column -= undo steering rack pinch bolt and two bolts which hold the top of the column to the dash board. Once out you can hold the whole caboodle in a vice and can usually tap - tap - tap the bolts round with a fine punch to undo them. Guy |
