Maybe <<yours>> will be cosmetic, but I'm putting one in because I'm also
putting in a proper harness instead of the inertial seatbelts. A full
harness sorta limits one's ability to duck down behind the scuttle in a
rollover. I'm a hard-headed, stiff-necked fella, but there are limits.
<grin>

I admit it's a compromise (less safe than a racing style bar, but I can
still put the top up).

If you're only looking for the cosmetic effect, why spend the money for a
real rollbar? Bet you could get something fabricated out of lighter gauge
metal for a lot less money.

Pray tell, where would you store a removable rollbar when the tonneau was
on?

I too am considering buying a rollbar for my 78 Midget. With a brand
new tonneau, I don't want to cut, zip, tape anything. Has anyone
considered wingnuts to attach the rollbar with ???

It is for cosmetic purposes only and could be removed when you have to
use the tonneau !!
But then again, its so easy to put the top up anyway, why even use the
tonneau !!

I'll trade a tonneau for a rollbar(with padding) anyone ???
