If you buy a tonneau, it becomes a non-issue. I have a top
boot which I want to keep, but it's been in the basement
every since I got the tonneau.

I leave the tonneau on the car when I am away, and throw
it behind the seats when driving. It looks a little messier
than the boot but works fine. Just unhook it full if you
need the soft top.

Tonneaus can be had for <<$150. I bought mine from
a netter for half that.

Pinch. Pull. Flatten onto trunk. Lower frame. Fold windows
in. Fold over. Done. ;>
