A very good question, one that I'd also like to know about. In the ignorance
of youth several years ago, I replaced all the interior panels on the
Bugster...and threw away the orginals...Recently I acquired a very used set
at a meet to make new patterns from...The book "Original Sprite and Midget"
does show what appears to be a recess into the panel about 1or 1 1/2" from
the outer edge. It may be the slight recess is caused by the metal perimeter
around the Masonite panel. I'll try and dig out the used panels and look
this weekend. BTW, I just received a new catalog from Motorhead, and they
have the ribbed rubber that glues to the door (inside the door skin). If
anyone has info re this topic, please post to board...Thanks in advance for
your help...
