The Mk1 has one timing mark on the pulley. It indicates TDC. You set the
timing by adjusting the vernier adjustor knob on the distributor to change
the timing in 1 degree increments.
Start by turning the crankshaft so that Cylinder 1 is at TDC and rotate the
distributor until the points are just beginning to open.
Tighten the clamp and adjust the vernier 13 clicks clockwise to achieve the
13 degrees BTDC that is recommended.
Note: Make sure that you have sufficient adjustability range of the vernier
before you start.
