Incidentally, is "yank" thought to be insulting in America? I know you guys get much more uptight about names than the Brits do. Over here the line between insult and endearment is blurred, though it's always moving too. F'rinstance, I betcha the brits wouldn't mind being referred to as Steamies since, although it's a rude phrase, it's still funny. If yank isn't rude then would calling you Shermans still be upsetting? In the spirit of cultural exchange, Steve |
