I have recently rejoined the list after a long absence, and
coincidentally have resumed work on my Spitfire 1500.
I am ready to reassemble the engine, and notice that there are two head
retaining studs that are longer than the the others. I can find no clue
(and don't remember the disassembly 2+ years ago) as to where these two
are fitted, or why. If someone can give me a little direction I'd
appreciate it.
