Have you looked carefully at the ends of the fittings. I think some have pieces
that go farther out past the threads than others. Have you put the old and new
fittings side by side and matched the threads?

I have not pushed them any further. Any ideas. The threads on the fittings
look the same, but there obviously is a difference.
