Andy,
Most years, around this time, one of the automotive trade publications
puts out a chart of who owns who and who has a working agreement with
who. I don't have a copy of last years.
Unfortunately for you, it only lists the active nameplates, not the
nameplates that are no longer in production. In other words, it will
say that GM owns SAAB and Ford owns Volvo, but won't say anything
about Volvo owning DAF or who (if anyone) holds the rights to use
the name Trabant.
When the chart comes in, I will try to remember to let the list know.
If you don't hear from me by mid-March, remind me.
Cheers,
Doug

Subject: Off Topic - Who owns who?
I'm looking to set up a chart of which auto maker owns which marques. I'm
having a hard time finding this information anywhere. I've started
digging through corporate financial statements, and that's helping.
However not everything is listed in there, such as BMW owning Triumph and
Riley. Does anybody know of a site that lists this information? I have
been unsuccesfully finding one on my own.
