Good luck... I had the same problem (the pegs are just a tad too close
together?)  I tried the epoxy and they would just break off.  Apparently
the vibration of just the car running would cause them to snap.  I even
milled a shallow recess in the badge and made some special pegs with a
small head on them to thinking the increased surface area might bond the
pegs better to no avail.  My solution, which probably wont work for you,
was to actually soak both the old badge (with faded insert, but that had
pins that fit) and new badge (with incorrect but broken pins and good
insert) in carb cleaner to dissolve the bond between the inserts.  Then
re-glued the new insert to the old frame
