Big Snip Folks, this bitchin about clearance is getting a bit old. Let's put it to bed with the following. Take the manual settings of .010 COLD. Set the gap, run the engine. If you still have chatter, let engine cool and set it at .009 If you still have chatter, let engine cool and set it at .008 It's not that hard ! Please remember that these little 4 bangers are pretty damn resilient ! Over adjusting a valve will show REAL quick when you crank the engine. It's going to skip. Enough already!
