Right

Decibel is almost through her re-spray. Still the bonnet and the
doors, but the body is absolutely gorgeous. To a point where the
engine compartment looks rubbish now (I thought it looked OK before).
Nevermind, will be done later, when my banker decides he can speak to
me again ;-)

But now I need to do the seats. Even though the vinyl is still OK,
the houndstooth is torn and burnt by the sun (???!!), and the foams
are shot.

I thought I could go to a re upholsterer and ask him to replace the
cloth by a contrasting vinyl (seats are tan). But I'm afraid I can't
afford it: #330 + VAT, + the foams, for just a centre piece of vinyl.
If I was going to spend that amount, I would like them to be leather
seats...
Now the question: has any listers tried the leather covers from
Prestige Auto Trim
(http://www.prestigeautotrim.com/uk/spitfire_seats.htm)?

It is really difficult to get a feel for the quality from their site,
as you can tell...
They claim tan houndstooth is not available, when Rimmer's have no
problems to get their hands on it, which doesn't speak in their favor
but I'm not keen on cloth and not an originality freak (no offense
meant...How politically correct do we feel we need to be
nowadays...Jeeez!).

Any other idea (i.e. supplier of quality cover or re upholsterer).
Some of you listers have emailed me the photos to do the job, but I
am only going to tackle it now.

TIA

Marc & Decibel
