All,
OK, I didn't want to do this, but (some of) you guys have forced my hand,
even though I was content to sit here in my ignorant complacency. This
question is for all you 'Techno Geek-Speak' people (henceforth known as
'TGS's") who know more than you should, and who I seriously envy. This
question is because of the current 'dizzy' postings.
I know 'zip' about electronics, but have been toying with the pertronixs
upgrade idea, since so many swear by it. For starters, I am thinking
about going/doing only a couple cars, so as to not invest a small fortune
if I then decide I prefer the old 'tried and true'...
AC-Delco D204 7953944
AC-Delco D200 7953291
What are these two above dizzies for, and what/where Pertronics system
fits them? I'm sorry to start the question with a minor test (i.e. what
vehicles do they go to), but I have seen a million pounds of fertilizer
on this list (upon rare<?> occassion ;) to 'sift' through, and really
don't want the 'guesses'. I swear, no offense intended to anyone in
particular, much less this awesome 'site'.
Major reason I ask, is because I'd prefer to do these if the pertronics
(kit?) is available, but could resort to doing several of different
Triumphs (as some of you know), if I had to. I had not really paid
attention, and had assumed it was a simple matter of fitting this upgrade
to the dizzy without realizing that there were different kits (?) for
different dizzies(?).
The mind is a terrible thing to waste... any help for this old battered
one?
<<DOH!!>>
