John,

I've recently disassembled a Mk3 Spitfire and a GT6 and didn't come across
an item like the one in the photo.  The closest were some body mounting
spacers w/ bolts, but they were only about 1/4 inch thick.  Except for the
fact that your spacer is steel, it looks like the lower differential mount
frozen to the stud.
