1500 engine rebuild

Well, the time has come for the engine rebuild.  I have a 1500 engine, comm
#FP1699UE, supposed to be from an MG Midget.

Q1.    Is this a 7.5:1 compression ratio? It has the recessed lip on the
cylinders.

Q2.    Where is the best place to buy engine parts - head gssket, pistons,
bearings, timing chains/sprockets, etc?
