Ken,
        I believe that in the Bentley manual is shown a test of piston to
dashpot clearance.Plugging the air holes on the bottom of the piston and
timing how long ot takes for the piston to drop to the bottom (Top) of the
dashpot.There are more details. If you cannot find this,let me know and I
will try to locate and send to you.
