Paul,
I've seen these gas struts attached horizontally at the frame near the
front of the engine and inserting into the bonnet forward near the
front inner plates lining the headlight recesses. I've also seen them
inserting more vertically to the bonnet onto the inner wheel well near
the stock attachment point, but bilatterally. Which were you
thinking of using? The horizontally mounted ones seemed more kind to
the bonnet.
