I would disgree with that. I have an 78 Spit that had the CD150 and a
non functioning hot water choke. After spend around 2 years trying to
get that setup to run right I got my hands of a dual SU HS2 from a 67 Spit.
They needed rebuild and new throttle shafts. Eventhough the rebuild kit
came with the wrong size jets and I wouldn't get then to run properly there
was a noticable difference with the HS2's. The two 1.25" (total of 2.5")
SU's breaths much better than a single 1.5" ZS.
I have since got the HS2's to run with the correct jets and recently added
a Lucus Sports coil, it is rocking. Is not going to out run any of the newer
cars on the road but it is definitely better that the single ZS.
