A stop at the local fish store provided most all needed to rebuild the
cannister. Activated charcoal in a small milk box $3.11. Polyester filter
material $1.29, it's like a big cotton ball. You can substitute poly filling
from your wifes sewing supplies.
The filter had two metal screens, for the top and bottom of the cannister
insideI also cut up a scouring pad as a fine grade to hold in charcoal next
to each screen. Then the polyester filter and sandwiched in the middle was
the activated charcoal. Done.
Functionality? I go to the Calif Smog Referee tomorrow for the third time,
that should settle it.
