Tyler,
The rear retainer bar should be what holds the back of the soft-top to the body
of the car, along the bottom of the rear window. How exactly did you install
the hood without this bar - did you just pass the bolts straight through the
fabric of the hood into the bolt-holes along the rear of the cabin?
How you attach the retainer bar to the soft-top I don't know, I've not needed
to replace my soft-top yet!
