All this work for inspections- Washington State doesn't inspect the
physical car unless it's coming from another state or country before you
can get tabs/tags for it. Even then it's a simple inspection- lights,
brakes, windshield wipers, etc. Pretty laid back.
All this makes me glad that I've got a permanent 1968 collector plate on
the car- no inspections, no licensing costs *ever*. It does look pretty
neat to see an old license plate complete with 1968 tab stickers on it. :)
