Mike,
If your engine has recently been re-built, it is quite likely that hardened
valve inserts were fitted. Is the head still off? It could well be worth
checking them (I have no idea how, if at all, it is possible to check for
hardened valve inserts). If these have been fitted then you can stop worrying
about LRP and additives, and just run normal unleaded (like Daffy!).
This sounds like good news for you, however, whether or not Carly is
UL-friendly!
