Good for you for telling the story!
There seems to be nothing wrong with my engine that a cylinder head skim
and a new head gasket won't fix, although we won't know for sure until
we reassemble it and see how it goes. God knows what I might have done
to the radiator, and at a hundred quid for a recon one, I'm going to run
with the old one unless and until I have further problems. It is not
often that we have high temperatures in this country, and it is even
less frequent that I drive 160 miles in two hours without stopping.
