It is a difficult process and you will likely need a puller of some sort to
separate the outer shaft from the hub and vertical link assembly. While
you are at it, inspect all the parts for tell-tale cracks.
As long as you are replacing the do-nuts, it is a good idea to find
"Metalastic" brand instead of the usual ones sold by QH. They will last much
longer than the QH ones and the added expense will be well worth it when you
won't have to go through that hassle again soon.
